ALMARAI PRO® Privacy Policy (v1.0)
This privacy policy (Privacy Policy) relate to your use of the platform accessible at www.almaraipro.com or via mobile applications or any other means (referred to in this Privacy Policy as the Platform).
The Platform is made available to you (referred to in this Privacy Policy as 'you' and 'your') by Almarai Company and its affiliates and subsidiaries, which are companies incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Almarai’s principal offices address at P.O. Box 8524, Riyadh 11491, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (referred to in this Privacy Policy as 'Almarai', 'we', 'us' or 'our').
We take your privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable whenever you use the Platform or provide us with your personal information. We will process your data in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and we are committed to legal information handling practices. We have set out our approach to handling your information collected in connection with Platform in this Policy.
By accessing and using the Platform and submitting your information to us, you consent to us using your information in accordance with the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, then you must stop using or accessing the Platform.
1) What we collect and how we collect it
The Platform is online platform that connects you to the relevant foodservices business division in Almarai (the “Relevant Division”) so that you can place orders for Almarai products made available to you on the Platform (referred to in this Privacy Policy as 'Products') from the Relevant Division, acknowledgment of order you placed by the Relevant Division and delivery of Products by Almarai.
We may collect certain personal information including but not limited to:
a) Name and date of birth;
(b) Mobile number;
(c) Nationality and gender;
(d) Payment information including credit card and/or bank account details, which are used for billing purposes and for the fulfillment of your orders;
(e) E-mail address and delivery address details;
(f) Current location;
(g) transactional information pertaining to your activities using the Platform;
(h) Information we learn about users from their use of the Platform, including but not limited to using your internet protocol address (which is a unique number assigned to your computer server or your internet service provider) to analyse user trends and improve the administration of our Platform, information collected about your computer, navigation information and the times and the products that you access on the Platform;
(i) Information collected by virtue of web analytics, including but not limited to Google Analytics and cookies (please see “How we use cookies” below); and
(j) Other information relevant to the provision of services via the Platform.
We collect this information (including personal data) when a user shares it with us. In addition, we may learn additional information from you using our services and the Platform, including information relating to transactions carried out via the Platform. We may also ask you to verify your information or identification by providing us with valid proof of identification (e.g. in the form of a copy of your passport, resident’s visa or permit, national ID card and/or driver’s license or any other documents). We may also ask you to verify your information by providing us with a copy of the commercial registration and, copy of the VAT certification and a copy of Municipality or Baladiya’s licence.
2) What we do with your information
The information you provide to us will be transferred to and stored on our servers.
We will primarily use information provided to us in order to aid with the delivery of your orders by the Stores but also for the following reasons:
(a) Internal record-keeping;
(b) Improving our products and services;
(c) Customer support;
(d) Provide preferences, feedback ratings, associated comments and other related information in relation to products you are purchasing;
(e) Preventing illegal activities and fraud screening purposes;
(f) Troubleshoot issues;
(g) Understanding and optimising the operation of the Platform; and
(h) Sending advertisements and offers.
We do not generally disclose this information to third parties except in the circumstances set out in clause 3 below.
3) Sharing and disclosing your information and marketing
The information you provide to us will be transferred to and stored on our servers.
Third parties process information such as credit card payments and provide support services related to your payments for us. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing and you agree that we may share your information that you provide to us or that we collect from you to any Almarai affiliate or any of our subsidiaries or third parties for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We do not rent or sell any of your personal information to third parties and we will only share your personal data with your express permission. By accepting this Privacy Policy you have consented that we may allow carefully selected third parties, including marketing and advertising companies, our affiliates and associates, to contact you occasionally about services that may be of interest to you. They may contact you by telephone, SMS as well as by e-mail. If you change your mind about being contacted by these companies in the future, please let us know by using the contact details set out below and/or by amending your profile accordingly.
If our business, subsidiaries or affiliates enters into a joint venture with, purchases or is sold (or the Platform) to or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed or transferred to the target company, our new business partners or owners or their advisors.
We may use the information that you provide to us if we are under a duty to disclose or share your information in order to comply with (and/or where we believe we are under a duty to comply with) any legal obligation, or in order to enforce our terms and conditions and any other agreement, or to protect the rights of Almarai or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and prevention.
We may share or need to transfer to or store data we have received from you with affiliates and subsidiaries of ALMARAI (Affiliates) which are located in countries other than the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The laws governing data protection in these countries may differ from the laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We will comply with the laws applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that similar and/or comparable standards for data protection are maintained by any Affiliates which are recipients of your information. By your voluntary submission of information to us, you are consenting to the disclosure, transfer and use of your personal information outside of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected via the Platform or in connection with your use of the same. Where the Platform provides links to third party websites, applications or services (Third Party Services), this Privacy Policy does not apply to such Third Party Services that you connect to from the Platform. We are not responsible for the content or practices of Third Party Services that are linked to or from the Platform.
4) Protecting your information
We take steps to protect your information from unauthorised access and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will keep your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.
Where you have chosen a password which allows you to access certain parts of the Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We advise you not to share your password with anyone.
You should be aware that the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Platform; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
5) How we use cookies

Our Privacy Policy applies solely to your personal information that we collect on this Platform.
7) Access to your details
You can access and review your personal information in the My Account section of the Platform. If your personal information changes in any way or is incorrectly presented on the Platform you should immediately update or correct your personal information by accessing the My Account section on the Platform or, alternatively, by contacting our customer support team as indicated on the Platform.
Please note that we shall retain your personal information during your use of the Platform and in the event that you cancel your account on the Platform for the purposes as mentioned in section 2 and 3 above.
